LUBRICATION STRUCTURE FOR OIL SEAL IN INDUSTRIAL VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply a lubricating oil required for an oil seal even when a bearing for supporting a rotary shaft is attached to close a communication hole communicating to the oil seal. SOLUTION: A motor 5 for travel is assembled to a drive unit 6 in a travel drive 4 mounted onto a battery type fork lift truck, and a rotary shaft (drive shaft) 16 of the motor 5 is inserted into a gear box 11 as an input shaft via an insertion through hole 12a of a gear housing 12. A bearing 20 for supporting the rotary shaft 16 is attached on an inner wall face of the gear housing 12 in a condition where the hole 12a is closed, and an oil seal 22 is attached in a chamber S substantially closed by the bearing 20 in a condition where it is brought into contact with an outer circumferential face of rotary shaft 16. A guide groove 32 is formed in the gear housing 12 to communicate an inside of the gear box 11 with the chamber S. A lubricating oil splashed inside the gear box 11 by the rotation of a gear 23 to flow down on the inner wall face is made to flow into the chamber S through the guide groove 32.
