PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveyance device capable of stabilizing a hold device by suppressing fluctuation of a position of center of gravity and preventing swing of a grip device when the hold device is moved in substantially horizontal direction. SOLUTION: In a conveyance device 1 having a running bogie 3, a hold device 4 having a grip device 4b provided below the running bogie 3 to grip an object to be conveyed (not shown in the drawing), and a horizontal travel device 5 provided between the running bogie 3 and the hold device 4 to move the hold device 4 in substantially horizontal direction from the running bogie 3, a balance maintenance mechanism 20 moving a weight 12 in the direction opposite to the travel direction of the hold device 4 is provided in the horizontal travel device 5.
