PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming an infrared sensitive layer which is uniform and free from a streaky thin spot to be generated when the infrared sensitive layer is formed after grinding, in the method for obtaining a jointless printing plate using an infrared laser. SOLUTION: A photosensitive resin layer is laminated on a sleeve and a joint is bonded by heating the layer at a softening temperature of a photosensitive resin or higher, and further, the joint is completely eliminated by polishing the surface of the photosensitive resin by grinding. In addition, an infrared sensitive layer is formed and a mask is formed by infrared laser lithography, and further, the image is exposed to light through the mask to obtain a jointless printing plate by developing an unexposed part. The described method comprises a step to heat the resin layer at the softening temperature or higher of the photosensitive resin is provided between a grinding step and a step to form the infrared sensitive layer. |
