PURPOSE: A private branch exchange system using a card telephone is to provide the convenience of users so as to completely eliminate the loads of general telephone charges in public areas. CONSTITUTION: A private branch exchange system using a card telephone is composed of a local switch(310), a private branch exchange(320), an incoming/outgoing call transfer apparatus(330) and a plurality of card telephones(340,350). The private branch exchange(320) is connected by the local switch(310) and general telephone circuits. The incoming/outgoing call transfer apparatus(330) is connected by the private branch exchange(320) and branch circuits, and the local switch(310) and public telephone circuits at the same time. The card telephones(340,350) connected to the incoming/outgoing call transfer apparatus(330) are used for local telephones if a card is not inputted and used for local and long-distance calls if a card is inputted.
