PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a transmission torque characteristic where transmission torque by a rotational difference between plate sets is different in each part of different space, by providing a plurality of the plate sets in an operating chamber, and making the space of the plate sets different respectively in a plurality of the parts. SOLUTION: A space of each inner/outer plate 16, 17 is respectively different in each part A, B in an operating chamber 14. Each plate 16, 17, when a rotational difference is generated between inner/outer side rotary members 11, 13 by a rotational difference generated between front and rear axeles of a mounting vehicle, is respectively relatively rotated in the operating chamber 14. Here, each plate 16, 17 transmits respectively required torque in accordance with the rotational difference between the inner/outer side rotary member 11, 13 by shearing resistance of a viscous fluid 15 in the operating chamber 14. In this way, a space between first/second plate sets is respectively different in a plurality of parts in the operating chamber, so that a plurality of different transmission torque characteristics can be obtained.
