<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain reduction in the weight and cost of a tie rod and facilitate work at the time of regulating the tie rod under an on-vehicle condition in a center take-off type power steering device. SOLUTION: This center take-off type power steering device is provided with respective inward end parts of a pair of right and left tie rods 20, 20 by positioning them at the roughly central part of a vehicle body, and the shaft part 21 of the tie rod 20 and a fitting part 22 on gear box side are constituted by an integral press structure. The fitting part 23 of the tie rod 20 on wheel side consists of a tie rod end 23 including a spherical joint 26, and the tie rod end 23 and the shaft part 21 are connected by a screw joint 27 with threaded parts on both sides of it, a lock nut 28 for locking thread engagement between the screw joint 27 and the tie rod end 23, and a cap nut 29 formed with a tapered part for tensioning fitting relation between the screw joint 27 and a rounded part 21a at the edge of the shaft part 21, at its inner peripheral surface.</p> |
