The ring wheel portion of the CVT system is driven by an electric motor. A first shaft (2) connectable to the engine is used to drive the sun wheel in a planetary gearing, a second shaft drives the ring wheel in the planetary gearing, and transmission bodies (4, 8) are provided between the two shafts to allow continuously variable changing gear change between these shafts. A planetary wheel engaging with the sun and ring wheels is mounted on a support driven by a third shaft (15). An Independent claim is also included for the CVT system. |
