<p>A brake calliper for a disc brake comprises a yoke (2) carrying a pair of opposite brake pads (11, 12) and an electric actuating mechanism (3, 32) connected to said yoke (2), said actuating mechanism (3, 32) engaging a displaceable support (10) member for displacing the brake pads (11, 12) towards and from each other. The actuating mechanism (3, 32) is driveable over a first range of rotations as well as over a second range of rotations, one of which ranges being for displacing the pads (11, 12) towards and from each other for exerting a braking effect on an associated brake disc, and the other range of which being for wear compensation of the pads.</p> |
