An emergency traffic light system uses transmitter-carrying vehicles to alert indicator-carrying stop lights. The emergency vehicle transmitters transmit a unique signal for the indicators. In response to detection of the unique signal, traffic may be merely alerted to the oncoming emergency traffic or the normal "red light/green light" transmission sequence of the stop light may be altered. The indicators detachably attach to stop lights so that easy retrofitting may take place. |
