PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the wrong use and to improve the operability of an information processor by erasing the password information which is stored in a storage means when a fact that a lock state is canceled by means of a password erasing key is detected at the system starting time. SOLUTION: A keyhole where a key 3 is inserted to cancel a lock state is formed on the side or front face, for example, of a casing of an information processor main body 1. When a system is started, it is decided whether the lock state is canceled by the key 3. As a lock state is kept in a normal state, the program of the main body 1 urges a user to input his password. When the input of the password is confirmed, the inputted password is collated with the password that is stored in a backup memory 4. If both passwords are coincident with each other, the procedure proceeds to the next processing and the user can operate the main body 1. |
