PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which can properly and accurately sense the size of sheets of paper placed on a hand feed tray. SOLUTION: An image forming device concerned is composed of an image forming means to form an image on a sheet, a means to judge whether the image forming operation of the image forming means is being interrupted, a hand feed means which admits placing of a plurality of sheets and can feed them continuously, and a means to sense whether any sheet or sheets is/are loaded in the hand feed means. If sheet(s) is loaded in the hand feed means, a sheet size setting means gives an instruction for setting the size of the loaded sheet in the condition that the image forming operation is not interrupted, and in the condition the operation is in interruption, maintains the sheet size set before the interruption. |
