PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter and a frame which are integrated and are inexpensive and are easy to produce by integrally forming the frame from a filter material to constitute it as a unit member. SOLUTION: In a filter mechanism for an electrophotographic printing press, a peripheral edge part 162 has a filter material 160 which is compressed so that it may essentially become a rigid backbone, and by adding and giving sufficient rigidity to a filter part by the compression of the peripheral edge part 162, an external frame workpiece is not required. Besides, when further rigidity is added and given, the intermediate part of the filter surface of the filter material 160 is suitably compressed. Or the filter material is melted, that is, heated and welded to a frame, allowing it to be fitted to a rigid independent piece of a frame workpiece. |
