The disclosure relates to a trigger actuated pump dispenser including a housing (11) mounted on a container of gas/vapour producing liquid product capable of generating a superatmospheric pressure in the container. The housing includes a piston/cylinder unit (15,16,17) and a container air vent which includes a vent chamber (38) and a vent port (39) establishing communication between the vent chamber and the interior of the container. The air vent has a pressure (45) vent outboard of the vent seal (37) connected to the piston for releasing pressure from the container via the vent port (39) and the vent chamber (38) upon outboard movement of the piston (17) to such outboard location in response to the superatmospheric pressure in the container. <IMAGE> |
