Device with gaps acting for forced deaeration of casting dies

The device consisting of one or more gaps is stationarily located a metal casting die. Each gap - which can assume various configurations in plan view - is formed by the opposing surfaces of inserts located respectively on the furnace and ejector side of the inserts in the die. By means of the gap (or gaps) a connection is established between the die cavity and the surroundings or an evacuation system, in partic., in aluminium and zinc die-casting and plastics injection moulding.
