The blower comprises a main body (10) which is extruded and which has a central bore (16). The airways (22) are prepared in a distributing strip (18, 20) which is formed into the one side of the extruded housing. The airways are directed onto the item to be cooled, blown. The ends of the housing have moulded connecting stubs for attaching the air pipes.The airways are at right angles to the main housing and are prepared on a precision machine prior to assembly into the housing. The airways can incorporate electric resistance heating elements to condition the airflow.
