Alpine ski with improved shape and progressively changing profile

The ski has a sliding surface with metallic edges having two lower lateral edges connected to lateral surfaces (12,13). These are connected to an upper surface (11). The upper surface is in a central zone corresponding to the region in which the fixings are mounted. It has in front and behind the central zone longitudinal recesses (7,8) limited by two continuous lateral edges (90,91). These join to the central zone and extend near to the front (100) and rear (101) contact lines of the ski ends. The height of each lateral edge decreases progressively form the central zone to the front or rear contact line. The ratio between the depth of the recesses and the height of each edge increases progressively in the same direction. The width (l) of the recesses increases progressively from the central zone in the direction of the front and rear contact lines. <IMAGE>
