FABRIC FOR INK JET PRINTING, METHOD FOR INK JET PRINTING AND PRINTED FABRIC

PURPOSE:To obtain a fabric for ink jet printing, having a specific value or above of moisture content and high dyeability and capable of expressing a clear an delicate figure pattern without causing the bleeding by knitting or weaving blended or combined filament yarns of hydrophilic fibers with hydrophobic fibers. CONSTITUTION:This fabric for ink jet printing is obtained by knitting or weaving blended or combined filament yarns prepared from hydrophilic fibers (preferred example: regenerated cellulose or mercerized cellulosic fibers) with yarns comprising hydrophobic fibers dyeable with a water-based ink containing a dye (e.g. a disperse or an acid dye) and has >=9wt.% moisture content in an atmosphere at 20 deg.C and 65% relative humidity. The method for ink jet printing is to carry out ink jet printing of the knitted or woven fabric knitted or woven from mainly the blended or combined filament yarns obtained by blending or combining the hydrophilic fibers with the hydrophobic fibers (preferably fibers having ester or peptide bonds in the main chain of the molecule) at (1:20) to (1:1) weight ratio with the water-based ink. The resultant fabric for ink jet printing contains the hydrophilic fibers capable of rapidly holding the water-based ink, highly develops the color and manifests a delicate figure pattern rich in level dyeing properties.
