PURPOSE:To prevent active material from falling off due to the expansion of a positive and a negative electrode, and thereby lengthen a cyclic life by interposing a porous resin film formed with nodes in its thickness direction as a barrier membrane between the positive and negative electrodes. CONSTITUTION:A porous resin film is interposed between a positive and a negative electrode, wherein each node 11 extended in the thickness direction of a barrier membrane is longer in length than each node extended in parallel with the positive and negative electrodes, high in compression strength, and treated by hydrophilic processing. The porous resin film shall be more than 60% in porocity, 0.01m in a hole diameter, and less in thickness than membrane. By this constitution, pressure is applied to the whole surface of each electrode with respect to the expansion of the positive and negative electrodes due to intercalation, deintercalation and dendrite, and active material is restrained from being isolated, released from current collectors, and falling off following the formation of dendrites, so that the cyclic life of a cell can thereby be lengthened. |
