Reinforced rubber coated with PTFE is used as sheet or longitudinal strips on a (rubber) support sheet, down which other objects may slide. The rubbers may be natural or synthetic. The support sheet may be perforated or continuous. Used for gravity conveyors for moving travellers baggage or merchandise, esp. on or off transport. Simpler to erect than a series of rollers, adaptable in width, provides continuous supports, does not require lubrication, quiet. |
