INJECTION MOLDING METHOD FOR RESIN-BONDED FIBER MOLDED ARTICLE

PURPOSE:To easily manufacture a product mainly composed of pulp fibers by a normal technique in the production of a required product by an injection molding machine. CONSTITUTION:A material for injection molding is prepared by compounding a thermoplastic synthetic resin by 10-49wt.% of the total amount with 90-51wt.% pulp fibers prepared by fibrillating waste paper. Granules or pellets of the order of 5mm made of this material are tumbled on a heating surface heated to at least the first-order transition temperature of the contained thermoplastic synthetic resin in a contact state, whereby the end branches of the fibers projected from the peripheral surfaces of the granules or pellets are pressed to be eliminated. In an injection molding method for a resin-bonded fiber molded article, injection molding is conducted using these granules or pellets.
