The present invention relates to a method for the opening of bundles, the bundles being transported on a transport device and, during transport, passing fixtures which are connected in series and which have at least partially tools for cutting open the bundle wrapping, the bundles being opened as they pass the fixtures and being multiply deflected by the fixtures, moved transversely relative to the conveying apparatus and slowly in rotation and slit open by the tools at several different points.
