An apparatus for controlling the movement between a shaft (11) and a housing (12). A guide (18) controls the rotation and reciprocation of the shaft (11) relative to the housing (12). A flange (25) is connected to the guide (18), a first bearing element (28) rests between the flange (25) and a first axial surface (26) of the housing (12), and a second bearing element (29) rests between the flange (25) and a socond axial surface (27) of the housing (12). The operation of these components cooperate to furnish an apparatus that permits rotational and reciprocal movement of the shaft (11), and further permits transverse and angular movement of the shaft (11) relative to the housing (12).
