PURPOSE:To improve the performance and reliability of refrigerating equipment in which R134a is used by using a polyol ester oil made of a specified starting material and having specified ranges of properties, adding a special additive thereto, keeping the purity of the hydrofluorocarbon refrigerant at a high value or reducing the equilibrium moisture content in a refrigeration cycle. CONSTITUTION:A refrigerating equipment having a refrigeration cycle A is which a chlorine-free hydrofluorocarbon refrigerant is used and having a refrigerator oil 18 containing a polyol ester oil as the base oil, wherein the polyol ester oil 18 is made of a product prepared by polymerizing an at least trihydric polyol such as trimethylpropane or pentaerythritol with a linear or branched alkyl fatty acid in the absence of any catalyst and has a pour point of -40 deg.C or below, a phase separation temperature of -20 deg.C or below, a total acid value of 0.02mgKOH/g or below, a viscosity of 8-100 cSt or below at 40 deg.C and a viscosity index of 80 or above is provided. |
