PURPOSE:To simplify the structure and to reduce the cost of an optical recording device by guiding a light ray emitted from an optical head to a recording medium by means of an optical fiber having a light converging means at the tip part. CONSTITUTION:By fixing a supporting body 16 which mounts the tip of an optical fiber 5 and a light converging means 6 on an arm end part 12b at one end of a swing arm 12 and rotating the supporting body 16 in the radial direction of an optical disk 15 around the rotating shaft supporting the other end of the swing arm 12 while keeping the contact state in which the supporting body 16 is brought into contact with the surface of the optical disk 15 by being preloaded by the spring force of an arm spring part 12a, tracking operation is performed. In such a case, since the light converging means 6 is almost in the contact state with the optical disk 15, the focusing control conventionally required becomes unnecessary. Since the optical system is freely arranged, the device is made thin and small in size. |
