<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a missupply of cargoes to a flow rack by comparing dead space with the dimension of cargoes and by determining whether space for supplying the cargoes to the flow rack is available or not. CONSTITUTION:When a replenishing command for cargoes 11 is given from a main control device 10 in an automatic warehouse, a control device 46 compares distance L from the intake port 22 of a flow rack 20 to a first-in cargo detected by means of a first-in cargo detecting sensor 41 with the length W of a cargo 11 on an elevating stand 32 detected by means of a cargo detecting sensor to control a belt conveyor 31. Namely, in W<=L, the control device 46 determines that the flow rack 20 has dead space for accepting the cargo 11, actuating the belt conveyor 31 to supply the cargo 11 to the flow rack 20. In W>L, the control device 46 determines that no dead space is available on the flow rack 20, transmitting a first-in cargo detecting error signal to the main control device 10.</p> |
