PURPOSE:To enhance the uniformity of respective beams and to enhance reliability as a light emitting source by obtaining a multibeam while using a single beam semiconductor laser and a Y branched waveguide. CONSTITUTION:A semiconductor laser 12 and a light entering port 13c of a Y branched waveguide 13 are optically coupled, and laser beams entered from the light entering port 13c are branched and outgone from plural light outgoing ports 13d. The respective tracks of an optical disk 8 is irradiated with the respective laser beams outgoing from a collimator lens 2 through a beam splitter 3 and an objective lens 6 and on the other hand, reflected light is reflected on the beam splitter 3 and entered to a detecting optical system (not shown in the figure). In this case, reliability is improved in comparison with the case of using a conventional multibeam semiconductor. |
