PURPOSE:To completely prevent erroneous use of a consumer in replacing a cell by constituting the cell in such a manner that the upper and bottom surfaces thereof are negative electrodes while the side surface thereof is a positive electrode. CONSTITUTION:In the middle position with respect to the height of a button type or coin type cell, there are provided air electrodes 8, 8a, i.e., generating elements serving as positive electrodes with a spacer 10 held therebetween. The air electrodes 8, 8a are sandwiched between negative electrode mixture 3, 3a, i.e., generating elements serving as negative electrodes via impregnating materials 6, 6a and separators 7, 7a, thus constituting the cell. Consequently, it is possible to obtain the cell where the upper and bottom surfaces thereof are the negative electrodes while only the side surface thereof is the positive electrode. |
