The cylindrical waste-bin (10) has a wall (11) and a top rim (14) round a filler-opening (12) in the wall (11). A bag (25) is placed inside the bin (10) so that its top edge (26) is folded over the top rim (14). The container's wall (11) has at least two slots (20, 21) extending at right angles from the top rim (14). The bag (25) is folded over only one part of the top rim (14) between two slots (20, 21). ADVANTAGE - The waste can be placed in separate bags inside the bin by means of slotting the bags into slots in the bin wall.
