MODE TRANSFER METHOD IN DUAL PORT MEMORY SYSTEM

A read transmission cycle (6) consists of a read converting step (RT) and a real time read converting step (RRT), which are carried out to transmit stored data to a SAM port. Then a write transmission cycle (7) is carried out which consists of: a serial writing step (SW) for storing an external data into the SAM port; and a write converting step (WT) for transferring the data of the SAM port to a RAM port. A presumed write converting step (PWT) is carried out only under a write mode, without carrying out the data transfer through the read transmission cycle (6) and the write transmission cycle (7). The method simplifies the checking of defective state of memory device during the manufacturing process.
