The subject of the invention is a folding seat that converts into a long object, for example like a walking stick, comprising a seat part proper (1, 1') and intersecting legs, one for the front (2, 2') and two for the rear (3, 3'), characterised in that the front leg (2, 2') pivots on hinges (4, 4') in order in a first folding operation to come into the projection of the seat, while the rear legs (3, 3') slide in respective openings (8, 8') provided in the middle part of the leg (2, 2') until they are lying flat along said seat part and front leg, and in that the front leg is cleaved along a longitudinal mid axis into two components (2, 2') hinged together (6, 7) to permit a second folding operation along said longitudinal mid axis, the seat part (1, 1') being itself cleaved along an axis located in the projection of said longitudinal mid axis and being also rotated by the hinges (9, 10); the final result being a long, easy-to-transport object. <IMAGE>
