Apparatus 2 for use in replacing a device 12 which, in the operative position thereof, is surrounded by housing 1 which may be coupled into a fluid line, especially at a critical location eg. an underwater wellhead, and wherein said device 12 in the operative position thereof, is locked against extraction and/or ejection with respect to the housing 1. The apparatus 2 has a body part providing a charging chamber 3 accommodating a first locking tool 27 for neutralizing the locking of the device in its housing, a replacement 12' for the device, a second looking tool 27' for looking the replacement device in the housing subsequent to the positioning of the replacement device 12' in an operative position within the housing 1. The apparatus includes a pushing device 31 for pushing out the device to be replaced and the first locking tool and for pushing the replacement device into the housing. <IMAGE> |
