The data source is based on electronic scales (10) with data input either through keyboard (14) or central processor (11). A communication device (20) is connected to the data source (10), and outputs product/price data, along with address of display device, to display device (32,34) using transmitters/receivers (22,26,30). Pref. the coding device (38) includes a keyboard, allowing input of additional data for transmission to displays (32,34). USE/ADVANTAGE - Supermarkets. Allows detailed price/weight/product information at point of weighing.
