The invention relates to a cooking element which can be set into heating sources such as halogen heat sources and/or radiant heat sources, particularly for domestic use. This cooking element, which can be set in, is characterised in that it includes a hob 4 made from a natural material resistant to high temperature provided with openings 24 in which the heating heat sources 16 are set, the latter being covered with a pad 23 of vitroceramic glass made integral with the said openings 24 by a seal and by assembly 26.
