The axial piston machine has a rotor (18) arranged in a fixed manner on the driving shaft (13) and having axial holes (20) in which pistons (21) are arranged. These are supported by their rounded ends (21A) on a pressure disc (22) which is arranged rotatably in a swash plate (23). In order to make the pressure disc (22) rotate, a one-way clutch (27) is constructed on the latter, this clutch being locked when the pressure disc (22) is being driven and overrun during the overrunning of the pressure disc (22). In this way, reliable starting of the pressure disc (22) and unconstrained running of the latter during operation are achieved. <IMAGE>
