PURPOSE: To obtain simple compact structure and high performance by providing four reflection surfaces in optical paths. CONSTITUTION: This stereomicroscopic prism system is provided with a plural of reflection surfaces for deflecting the optical paths on both sides by 90 deg. respectively and four reflection surfaces 4, 5, 6 and 7 are provided in the respective optical paths 2 and 3. Two of these surfaces are constituted as the reflection surfaces 4 and 5 and arranged in planes parallel with the optical axis 8 in a longitudinal direction of a microscope 1 and the other surfaces are constituted as an incident surface 6 and a light exit surface 7 and inclined at angles of 45 deg. and mutually 90 deg. with the optical axis 8 in the longitudinal direction. Thus, the prism system can be made extremely compact. |
