PURPOSE:To realize the application of an integrated circuit IC as it is even when the change is required for the data contents of a read-only memory ROM cell by providing a function into the IC to correct the data read out of the ROM cell. CONSTITUTION:An IC contains an address register decoder 1, a ROM cell 2, a read controller 3, a sense amplifier 4, an interface part 5, a correction controller 6, a correction address register 7, a correction data register 8, and a correction data output buffer 9. When the change is required for the data contents of the cell 2, the read data is corrected as necessary. Thus it is possible to continuously use the IC while the error of the ROM data is remained as it is even when the correction is required for the contents of the ROM data.
