PURPOSE: To obtain a herbicide composition containing an acylated 1,3- dicarbonyl compound as a herbicidal activity ingredient and an antidote for the herbicidal activity ingredient, and capable of minimizing the damages to field crops without reducing the injurious effects of the herbicide on weeds. CONSTITUTION: This herbicide composition comprises (A) a herbicidally effective amount of a compound of formula I (R is a substituted aromatic group) or its tautomer, e.g. a compound of formula II [R<1> -R<6> are each H, a 1-4C alkyl, or R<1> , R<3> are each a group of formula III (Ra is a 1-4C alkyl, phenyl), etc.; R<7> is a halogen, CN, a 1-4C alkyl, etc.; R<8> -R<10> are each H, a halogen, a 1-4C alkyl, a 1-4C alkoxy, etc.] and (B) an antidotally effective amount of an antidote selected from a haloalkanoic acid amide, an aromatic oxime derivative, a thiazole carboxylic acid or its derivative, and 1,8-naphthalic acid anhydride in an A/B weight ratio of 0.1/1 to 30/1. |
