FIELD: the invention is used for non-destructive ultrasound control of rolled steel. ^ SUBSTANCE: the electromagnetic-acoustic converter holds a body, a substrate with a concentrator, a magnetic system with constant magnets faced each other with the poles of the same name, an induction coil. At that the constant magnets are mounted in a casing out of magnetic material inserted in a cylindrical drum out of non-magnetic material installed in the body of the converter with possibility to rotate around its axle and connected with the aid of a slider inserted in a guiding sleeve out of non-magnetic material with a rod of a pneumatic cylinder fixed in the body, a drum, magnets and a casing from the side of the substrate with a concentrator are installed in relation to them with a clearance and are fulfilled along a circle with a common radius coinciding with the radius of a hollow in the body in which a drum is inserted. ^ EFFECT: creation of an electromagnetic-acoustic converter with a rotating magnetic system providing its quick and reliable tapping to the object of control in an automatic regime without participation of a man. ^ 2 cl, 6 dwg
