Putty tool for applying generous amounts of putty over and along joints, preferably joints between two plaster boards arranged adjacent to each other, having a handle 5 and a putty-spreading device 6. The putty-spreading device 6 is assigned a straight line 7 oriented in one plane, and a curved arch shape 8 oriented in the said plane, so that it is possible, as a function of the angle position "a" of the device 6 in relation to a surface 1 on which putty is to be applied, to give different quantities of putty along the putty-spreading device 6.
