Textile sheet material and manufacture thereof

The textile sheet material is three-dimensional and comprises a substrate and an upstanding fibre pile applied thereto. The fibre pile consists of raised or split pile yarns. The free ends or tips of the pile fibres are bonded at least in part to the pile tips of a second sheet material to form a textile fabric which is composed of two joined-together pile fabrics and whose pile has been fully opened and can be filled with chemicals such as foaming material.
