COLOR SOLID-STATE IMAGE PICKUP DEVICE

PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of a color smear due to a change in peripheral temperature by equalizing the direction in which each solid-state image pickup element develops dislocation due to thermal deformation and the direction in which each optical flux getting on said element develops dislocation with respect to any image with the aid of the reflection and polarization of a color split prism. CONSTITUTION:The color split prism 32 composed of prism members 32A-32C has dichroic mirrors 33 and 34 and a full reflection mirror 35. The flux 31 is color-split to fluxes 36-38 in different colors, and received by the solid-state image pickup elements 39-41. The color split prism 32 and the solid-state image pickup elements 39-41 are fixed. A fixed member 42 is fitted on a case 43. The direction of the dislocations both of the fluxes 49-51 and of the image pickup elements 52-54 are the same with respect to the expanded images dotted lines of the fixed member 42, and the relative dislocation arising in the image pickup elements is canceled. Thus the color smear of an image due to a change in peripheral temperature can be prevented.
