PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for the interfacing and to reduce the danger disturbing the burst of other station by suppressing the violation of two kinds of CMI code rules when a fault of a base band signal processing section takes place and allowing a radio transmission section to reset an on/off gate signal. CONSTITUTION:Signals 103, 104 controlling the transmission timing are con nected to each input of a CRV suppression circuit 12, connected to each input of a CMI conversion circuit 11 and a transmission signal 108 is sent on a cable 14. When a fault in a base band signal processing section A is detected by a fault detection circuit 13, an alarm signal 107 is given to an alarm input of the CRV suppression circuit 12 from a fault detection circuit 13 to inhibit the transmission signal 105. The signal 108 is given to the input of an NRZ conversion circuit 15 of a radio transmission section B, and when an alarm signal 112 is given to an alarm input of an ON-OFF gate recovery circuit 17 from an alternate detection circuit 16 detected alternately on a time axis so as to control that the ON-OFF gate is turned off.
