<p>Connector for ribbon cable (2) comprises a housing (10) having therein two rows of terminals (20) with slotted plate portions extending above cable receiving face (14) of housing (10) for reception in respective passages (50) in cover (30) latchably secured by barbs (28) on insulation piercing arms (24) which define slots (26). Each passage (50) has ramps (60) therein which deflect arms (24) toward opposite sidewalls (51) of passage (50) until barbs (28) snap over shoulders (56) so that arms (24) are coplanar. The slots (26) do not narrow as cover (30) is applied.</p> |
