PURPOSE:To enable a paper to be automatically replaced, by providing a paper- selecting mechanism by which two paper-feeding rollers located substantially symmetrically in the paper-supplying direction with respect to a main paper- supplying roller capable of being rotated forward and reversely are driven to make contact with and separate from the main roller. CONSTITUTION:When a paper 18a is supplied to a printing part of the printer, switching to a paper 18b is conducted by rotating the main roller 22 counterclockwise by a rotation driving mechanism and bringing a paper-feeding roller 24b into contact with the paper-supplying roller 22 by a paper-selecting mechanism, whereby the paper 18a clamped by a paper-feeding roller 24a is discharged rightward by the rotation of the main roller 22, whereas the paper 18b clamped by the roller 24b is fed to the printing part. When the roller 24a is separated from the main roller 22 by driving the paper-selecting mechanism when the leading end of the paper 18a comes to a position slightly downstream of the roller 24a, the paper-discharging operation is completed, and only the paper 18b is supplied. |
