PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal color forming recording material having low-temperature color forming property by using a specific diphenylsulfone derivative as a sensitizer. CONSTITUTION:A thermal color forming recording material contains a colorless or light color forming dye capable of being colored by an acid substance, an organic acid substance capable of converting the chromogenic dye into a colored dye, and a diphenylsulfone derivative of the formula. In such a recording material, the color density is high in the low-temperature (65-85 deg.C) region. The preferred amount of the diphenylsulfone derivative as represented by the formula is 0.3-6.0pts.wt. on the basis of 1pt.wt. of the color forming dye. In the formula, R<1> and R<2> are each a 1-8C alkyl or alkenyl group. |
