PURPOSE:To obtain a permanent magnet alloy having large coercive force, a high maximum energy product and magnetic flux which is almost independent of temp. by mixing powders of two-phase separated rare earth element-Co alloys having different compositions and by compacting and sintering the mixture. CONSTITUTION:Alloy powder having a composition represented by a formula Sm(Co1-a-b-cFeaCubMc)z is mixed with one or more kinds of alloy powders each having a composition represented by a formula X(Co1-a-b-cFeaCubMc)z. In the formulae, M is one or more among Ti, Zr and Hf, X is Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er or Tm as a heavy rare earth element, 0.05<=a<=0.35, 0.03<=b<=0.15, 0.005<=c<= 0.05, and 7.0<=z<=8.3. The powdered mixture is compressed, sintered, and subjected to soln. heat treatment and aging. By this method a permanent magnet alloy having a desired temp. coefft. with respect to magnetic flux can be manufactured with high productivity. |
