The sampler comprises a sampling vessel (14) connected to a pipe conduit (3) for transporting the sampled liquid. The vessel is open towards the pipe conduit, and has a volume which increases from nil to complete gradually during a required sampling time. - The vessel has a pipe with an aperture for insertion in the pipe conduit (3), opening a normally closed valve in it. It also has a flexible container which with its part turned away from the pipe can be attached to the end of a piston connecting rod in a piston and cylinder unit (15) to draw it out from nil to complete sample volume. A fixture for the sample vessel (14) on the pipe conduit (3), has a peripheral lock hose which in the pressurised condition holds the sampling vessel (14) to the fixture.
