The apparatus comprises a pincer 1 comprising six curved elements 2 articulated at their end; a trigger-handle 10-11 making it possible, on the one hand, to hold the apparatus and, on the other hand, by pressing on the control trigger 10 against the resistance from elastic means 14, to open the pincer 1; a hollow rod 8 joining the pincer 1 to the trigger-handle 10-11 housing members 7 for transmitting the movement of the trigger 10 to the pincer 1. The apparatus is associated with a plastic bag 18, 19 placed in the pincer for the picking-up operation. <IMAGE>
