PURPOSE:To condition a peat ground efficiently at a low cost, by mixing in a peat ground red mud, insoluble anhydrous gypsum, quenched blast furnace slag in fine powder and Portland cement in specified proportions. CONSTITUTION:Red mud, 5-35pts.wt. insoluble anhydrous gypsum with a particle size of 300mum or smaller, 15-65pts.wt. quenched blast furnace slag in fine powder and 30-65pts.wt. Portland cement to make a total of 100pts.wt. are mixed with a peat ground, with the red mud accounting for at least 40pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. total of the three latter components. The insoluble anhydrous gypsum has a very low rate of dissolution in water and when its particle size exceeds 300mum, it can no longer keep face with the reaction and reactivity is lowered to a marked extent. |
