PURPOSE:To reduce a multi-item table search time by searching an index comprising a high speed storage device in a terminal device and searching a commodity price table formed in a low speed storage device with the result. CONSTITUTION:The multi-item table 11 is provided in the terminal device and searches its index 112 by a key data inputted to the terminal device. Units U1-Un are read out from the commodity price table 111 based on the result of search, and the units U1-Un are searched to retrieve the commodity name and price corresponding to the key data. |
